Platform Performing Arts for classes in Drama, Dance and Singing
At Platform we aim to educate and develop our members to a high degree of excellence in the Arts by enabling them to embrace all aspects of their tuition in a focused and engaging learning environment.
All Platform teachers are highly skilled and currently working in local schools. Platform teachers are either Advanced Skills Teachers, Lead Teachers for Learning or Performing Arts Coordinators with up to date practice. They also deliver comprehensive training to other teachers and/or professionals working in their specialist area. Platform teachers have years of experience in their field of expertise and deliver exciting, creative and personalised lessons which differ from week to week.
Platform Performing Arts has been established for over 22 years and is currently for students from 10 to 16 years old. Our students enjoy creative, engaging and high quality teaching in Dance, Drama and Singing.

Platform’s founder and Creative Director, David Hilton, has worked as a Multi-Academy Trust, Academy Improvement Leader, working to improve teaching and learning across a number of primary and secondary schools. He is also a Director of Teacher Development and worked as an Evidence Leader in Education for the Research Schools Network and has over 25 years teaching experience in acting and performing arts.
David personally selects experienced and outstanding teachers.
All teachers are DBS checked and Safeguarding trained.
Annual varied performance opportunities in the form of top musicals and dance shows at the Hull New Theatre and Yorkshire Schools Dance.
The opportunity to take London College of Music Exams in Musical Theatre.
Quality teaching which delivers up-to-date metacognitive & cooperative learning approaches. This promotes pacey, engaging, interactive and motivated learning with the use of varied structures and techniques to optimise learning outcomes.
